The Drywall Installation Process
Exist a ceiling is a false ceiling that is placed under the real roof to hide cable and pipe installations or to reduce the height of the mezzanine.
Fake Ceiling
This is a false ceiling that consists of a completely smooth surface in which the structure that supports the drywall is not visible.
The process of installing drywall on smooth panels is as follows:
- To trace the height of the ceiling.
- Installation of the mooring modules that will support the ceiling in the walls of the room or office where the installation of the drywall will be done.
- Placement of anchors on the real roof by drilling with holes.
- Cut of galvanized wire sections of a length equal to that existing between the actual ceiling and the fake ceiling.
- Bend the ends of the wire so that they make a hook that holds the load gutters and is deposited there.
- Tie the crossings of these gutters with the wire and they are leveled for the placement of the drywall.
- Install the drywall.
The reticular ceiling is a false ceiling that consists of a drywall supported by a visible structure in the form of a network.
The process of installing drywall on reticular panels is as follows:
- To trace the height of the ceiling.
- Installation of the mooring modules that will support the ceiling in the walls of the room or office where the installation of the drywall will be done.
- Placement of anchors on the real roof by drilling with holes.
- Cut of galvanized wire sections of a length equal to that existing between the actual ceiling and the fake ceiling.
- Bend the ends of the wire so that they make a hook that holds the load gutters and is deposited there.
- Tie the crossings of these gutters with the wire and they are leveled for the placement of the drywall.
Up to this moment, the installation process is the same as that of the smooth ceiling, from here the process is different:
- Mark on the real roof the location of the main T and connecting T.
- The perforations of the main Ts are deposited on the hooks of the hanging wire, they are held, leveled and they are tied by reaffirming the mooring with metal screws.
- Insertion of the connecting T perpendicular to the main T.
- Install the drywall.

Drywall Repair

Drywall is one of the most commonly used materials for building walls inside a house in the United States.
However, its exposure to different environmental conditions, such as changes in temperature and humidity, earthquakes, deformation of structural elements and even installation errors, are the main causes for cracks in the walls and it is necessary to perform drywall repair.
If the repair is done by a dent, the edges must first be sanded to remove loose particles, then apply the joint compound to fill said sinking of the drywall surface, to finish the repaired area is sanded again and paint is applied to erase the signal that there was a dent in that specific area.
If the hole in the drywall was produced by something very small such as a nail, only a little joint compound is applied, a piece of joint tape is placed, the spatula is passed to leave the surface smooth and remove the excess of compound, after it dries the same process is applied a second time.
A rectangle is drawn around the hole in the drywall with the help of a ruler, then cut with a saw of drywall to leave the space of said hole for the subsequent installation of a new panel, the size of the hollow and cut a plasterboard of that same size leaving 10 centimeters more, then leave the cardboard of the remaining 10 centimeters and install it in the space where the hole is, proceed to apply compound and tape as normally done.
A rectangle is also drawn around the hole in the drywall with the help of a ruler, then cut with a saw of drywall to leave the space of said hole for the subsequent installation of a new panel, the size is measured from the hole and plasterboard of that same size is cut leaving 10 centimeters more but in this case support tables are placed behind the surface of the affected panel so that after being adjusted with screws through the affected panel the installation is performed of the new panel.
